Pricing and quotes

Product Photography, Video and 3D Rendering Pricing

How Jonemoo Studio quotes product photography, product video, 3D rendering, and post-production projects in China.

Start with deliverables

Product count, asset type, final quantity, usage channels, and timeline make quotes comparable.

Standard work can be unit-based

Consistent white-background images and repeatable SKU work may be quoted per final image, product, or batch.

Complex production is project-based

Lifestyle sets, models, locations, video, CGI, and multiple delivery versions are scoped as projects.

Pricing units

Different deliverables use different pricing structures

We choose a pricing unit that reflects the actual work and makes the production scope easy to compare.

Basic product photography

Consistent white-background, main, and detail images may be quoted per final image, product, SKU, or production batch.

Lifestyle and campaign photography

Quoted around the number of scenes and final images, plus props, talent, locations, product materials, and retouching requirements.

Product video production

Scoped by intended use, script and shots, production days, scenes, talent, editing, graphics, and required aspect ratios or cutdowns.

3D rendering and animation

Modelling, materials, still rendering, and animation are assessed separately. Product complexity, views, duration, and review scope affect the quote.

Quote contents

A useful quote defines what is included

The purpose of a detailed quote is to confirm the work, deliverables, review boundary, and separately charged items.

Production scope

The number and type of white-background images, lifestyle images, videos, CGI stills, or animations.

Pre-production and execution

Whether the scope includes brief development, shot lists, scripts, storyboards, photography, modelling, filming, editing, or retouching.

Review and revisions

The review stages, included adjustment scope, and what would count as a new shot, reshoot, or scope change.

Final files

File format, dimensions, resolution, aspect ratio, video duration, language, and platform versions.

Quoted separately when needed

Third-party and project-specific costs

These items are included only when the confirmed project requires them.

Talent, styling, and usage rights

Models, actors, hair and makeup, wardrobe, and agreed usage scope are confirmed for each project.

Locations, props, and set construction

External locations, custom props, food styling, and complex set construction are priced according to the approved direction.

Shipping and sample handling

Supplier-to-studio shipping, special handling, return shipping, or forwarding samples to another destination should be agreed in advance.

Additional versions and scope changes

New images, reshoots, additional languages or aspect ratios, and revisions outside the agreed scope require confirmation.

What affects the quote?

Product photography, product video, and 3D rendering do not share one universal unit price. A quote becomes useful after the product, deliverables, production method, review scope, and final file requirements are clear.

Simple and repeatable work is easier to price by image, product, SKU, or batch. Creative sets, difficult materials, talent, locations, video, 3D, and multi-version delivery are normally scoped as complete projects.

Information to prepare

Information What to include Why it matters
Products and SKUs Quantity, colours, sizes, bundles, packaging, and accessories Determines production organisation and the number of final assets
Sales channels Amazon, Shopify, brand website, crowdfunding, retail, ads, or social media Determines image purpose, ratios, information density, and versions
Deliverables White-background images, lifestyle images, product-page graphics, video, CGI stills, or animation Each deliverable uses a different production method
Product features Materials, dimensions, functions, key benefits, and points that are difficult to explain Determines the images or shots required
References Competitor links, visual references, brand guidelines, and directions to avoid Helps assess set, lighting, camera, and post-production complexity
Sample status Production sample, prototype, packaging status, defects, and supplier location May affect retouching, replacement samples, compositing, or 3D requirements
Timeline Launch date, review dates, phased delivery, and urgent requirements Affects scheduling and production method

If the final asset list is not ready, start with the product information and sales channel. We can help separate essential deliverables from optional or later-stage content before preparing the formal quote.

Questions a quote should answer before production

Question What should be confirmed
What will be delivered? Final asset count, formats, dimensions, ratios, duration, language, and platform versions
When is approval required? Shot list, script, storyboard, test image, draft edit, CGI preview, or another agreed review point
What changes are included? Corrections within the approved direction, review rounds, and the boundary between an adjustment and new work
What happens to samples? Receiving contact, inventory, special handling, return, forwarding, temporary storage, and shipping responsibility
Where can the assets be used? Agreed channels and any restrictions connected to talent, music, fonts, locations, or licensed material
Which source files are included? Whether raw captures, editable files, unused footage, models, textures, or other working files form part of delivery

Confirming these points makes quotes from different suppliers easier to compare and reduces ambiguity after photography, filming, or rendering has started.
